As reported by Gaming Nexus, Adhesive Games entrusted Gears of War art director and feature film director Jeremiah O’Flaherty with the creation of live-action (combined with CG) shorts – based on Hawken!

The first one will premier at E3 in Los Angeles in June!

According to O’Flaherty, the goal was to put names and faces to the mech pilots. “Through these characters I wanted to begin to speak to the fiction behind the game, to introduce people to a mythology that is just as interesting and intriguing as the first view of HAWKEN made me feel.”, O’Flaherty says.

The shorts are filmed on multiple set designs and the costumes included apparel from Endless Ammo. Creative Director Khang Le about his visit to the set: “It was so awesome to see the physical set of HAWKEN. Seeing the film crew working passionately to capture the feeling of the HAWKEN universe was a humbling experience.”
